U.S. Department of Energy Awards Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. $25 Million Technical and Operational Support Services Contract for the Naval Petroleum and Oil Shale Reserves – Colorado, Utah and Wyoming (NPOSR-CUW)
OAK RIDGE, TN—Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. has been awarded a five year contract with an expected value of approximately $25 million. Ranked as one of the fastest growing businesses in the country three years in a row by the Inc Magazine, Navarro was selected in a competitive procurement to provide technical and operational support services for the Naval Petroleum and Oil Shale Reserves – Colorado, Utah and Wyoming (NPOSR-CUW).
Navarro began work on July 1 st to provide technical and operational support to achieve NPOSR-CUW’s twofold mission: First, to operate the Rocky Mountain Oilfield Testing Center (RMOTC), and second, to produce and sell crude oil and its related petroleum products from NPR-3. Field operations will consist of all aspects of operation and maintenance of the oil wells and production of crude oil and gas for sale. Navarro will also provide technical support to RMOTC in their partnerships with oil producers, inventors, environmental companies and national laboratories and other government organizations to test, evaluate, demonstrate and transfer new technologies and products to the oil and gas industry for the purpose of increasing recovery and reducing operating costs; to explore innovative ways of preventing and managing environmental risks; and test laboratory assumptions in a real world setting.
